Loving Mother of the Redeemer, gate of heaven, star of the sea, assist your people who have fallen yet strive to rise again...You who received Gabriel?s joyful greeting, have pity on us poor sinners. For over 65 years we, as Catholics in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, have united in procession in the prayer of the Rosary with our Blessed Mother Mary, the Immaculata, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, who leads us to kneel in adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Join clergy and faithful from around the Archdiocese and State of Minnesota on Sunday, May 4th, at 2:00 pm as we pray the Rosary in procession from the State Capitol to the Cathedral of Saint Paul. Our prayer intention is for a ?new springtime? for the virtue of purity in our culture and a deeper understanding of the holiness of marriage and family life. As Pope Pius XI stated in his encyclical on the Rosary, "every blessing that comes to us from Almighty God comes through Our Lady's hands." Ingravescentibus malis -1937 Inside the Cathedral we will renew the consecration of our Archdiocese to Mary, offer prayers for marriage and the family and close with adoration and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Come with family and friends in a public witness to our Catholic Faith during this month of May dedicated to our Blessed Mother. Assemble at the Capitol at 1:30; the Procession begins at 2:00pm.
