A team was formed and has evaluated résumés and interviewed for the Parish Administrative Assistant position. We are pleased to announce Jackie Berry has accepted this position. Being an altar server at Mass is a privilege and an honor. It is a special way to serve God and God’s Holy People. The service that you provide to God and His people during Mass is a vital and important role in the life of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Being an altar server at Mass is worth doing and is worth doing well. We invite all boys from Fifth Grade through High School who have made their First Holy Communion to participate in this important ministry. Saturday, September 19th, 2015 10:30am start time for grades 9—12 11:00am start time for grades 5—8 Lunch will be provided followed by ultimate Frisbee (weather permitting). Join St. Nicholas Children’s Choir! Children from St. Nicholas Parish, grades 1-6, are invited to join our new Children’s Choir. It will be directed by Deb Carlson, Music Coordinator. Debra has taught music to children for several years, holds a music degree and Minnesota Elementary Teacher’s License. Choir practice will be 45 minutes once each week beginning in September and ending in April. The Children’s Choir will sing once per month on Sunday’s 10 a.m. Mass, beginning in October, 2015. Practice day and time has not been determined. Deb would like to hear from the parents what time would work best for your family. The Adoration Chapel will close on Thursday, September 3rd, at 5 pm. The Chapel will stay closed through the weekend and will reopen on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30 am after morning Mass.

We will introduce the opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about the Catholic faith. Classes will focus on the teachings, Traditions and experience of Church and will prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments.
