Support the Holy Land – Collection Good Friday, April 14th
The Pontifical Good Friday Collection for the Holy Land will be taken up in parishes on Good Friday, April 14, 2017. The donations help the Franciscans in the Holy Land support pastoral needs, schools, orphanages, health care, food and of course, the many shrines connected with the life of Jesus. Wars, unrest and instability have been especially hard on Christians in the Middle East. This year, in response to the U.S. Bishops’ call to solidarity with suffering refugees and persecuted peoples, including Christians, in the countries of the Holy Land, donations taken in our archdiocese above previous Holy Land collection totals will go directly to support the humanitarian needs of our brothers and sisters in the Archdiocese of Damascus, Syria. Please be as generous as you are able, they need your help.
